LG said that robots and artificial intelligence (AI) are expected to be the highlight of CES 2017, and it would unveil at least three new robots.

LG HOM-BOT, designed as an automated vacuum cleaner for homes, is innovated to produce LG’s first non-cleaning robots that are equipped with AI technologies enabling them to be employed at homes. These robots are designed such that they may work in connection to the other smart appliances, outdoors as well as in public spaces.

LG said that was also going to unveil a Hub Robot that would work as a smart home gateway as well as a personal assistant for consumers. While serving, it would also make sounds like it would have capabilities similar to the Amazon Echo and Google Home.

Another robot that would demonstrate new capabilities for tending to one’s yard and garden. It would be able to navigate through complex environments and decipher the most efficient and effective path to accomplish tasks.

LG would also unveil robots for public places such as airports and hotels that would help improve the traveller’s experience. These robots would be equipped with AI technologies meant for both indoors as well as outdoors.

This brand new robot collection by LG would be unveiled at LG’s CES press conference on January 4 at 8:00 am at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. It would be on display at a booth by LG in Las Vegas Convention Centre from January 5 to 8.
